I still can't get over the fact that coral tower = eel = shellfish = kingly staff...

That is almost as bad as Harry being penetrated by Snape as an animgus-snake. Which might tell you nothing of you haven't read the Potter stuff (you didn't, did you - I gets confused). Which is, I assure you, BAD.
