And the thing about my hair that I hate now is that it goes SPROING over the legs of my glasses and makes me look like I have hair growing out my ears. T_T And it's annoying to push that particular bit behind my ear because I can FEEL it there.

I'm so going to laser my eyesight when I turn 21.

XDDDDDDDDD I tried, but the thing is, it's apparently not possible to do it with just cross bracing and joists, cos it won't hold the thing together (apparently the max is a 4.5m span? unless I'm interpreting them wrong) - I need to either put in a beam or a post to support it, but google is TEH CRAP and nothing is coming up that is useful because I need the construction diagrams for me to copy refer to. ._.

There wasn't any particular study habit, but... I went to most lectures and only skipped those I know were taught by truly useless professors - and even in those cases I tried to go often anyway even if I know I'd fall asleep. Most people were acquaintances rather than friends, but I have the phone numbers of about half the class (of 80) so if I had a problem, wasn't sure about the timetable or needed someone to get notes for me, I could just ring someone up.

Coursework was pretty intensive in my uni so it was like studying all the time anyway. But when it came to exams, I just... sat down and revised? It was always easier if I went to the actual lectures. Took breaks, but it was either food break or walking, not popping back to the computer to watch an episode of anime because that just took the concentration away completely.

I don't think it's to do with smartness, it's more a general attitude towards things. I grew up being told it's good to know things and find out about things and so much as I whined about it, I liked studying, in general.

Mostly, yes. Did you sit down at home for revision? Alone, in groups? Did you study in silence or did you have music on? For how long would you revise, how long were the breaks you took?

(I think my big problem is that no-one prepared me for how different uni would be. I always had an A average, all my life, and the most I studied for it was like you decribed, go to class/do homework/revise a bit before an exam. I studied maybe 4 hours a day for 10 days before my 6 hour economics/poli A Level exam covering two years of material, and I still got a straight A for it; same for Maths with about three hours of revision total. >_> I never learned to study because I didn't have to, and then three months into uni I realised that mistake and have been trying to catch up ever since. I just HATE studying, it's so boring and I can't concentrate and I feel mentally retarded all the time, and it is all my fault because I'm lazy at heart. Sigh. Sorry for venting.)
