Yes, aside from the fact that we are allowed to insulate externally and render the exterior. The stairs we can pretty much say it's for a 1 person residence etc, so they don't have to be the normal domestic ones, and can be 600 across and as steep as one of those ladder stairs, but aside from that, as to insulation and also the loads of floors and things, yes, we do have to design to British Standards. :/

Errr.. no and no. 8D But the lecturer has the relevant regulations online in his notes for stairs etc so I can check those. :o Insulation I'm not so worried about, it's mainly the second floor that's pissing me off, cos without having worked out its construction I can't draw up any of my plans and things yet, or design the stairs properly cos I need to know how thick the joists are going to be. :/
