Apr. 12th, 2004 07:38 pmI need some help with this. Any idea of what disease I can use... something that will almost surely kill the person within 5-10 years, but doesn't bother the person much until a year or two before death or something? And not AIDS. Anyone any idea?
[edit: er, at least he can't be sick all the time and stuff... it's fine if it cripples him at the later stages...]

I'm always surprised that no one has managed to combine TeniPuri with this scenario yet. (Or maybe a bus crash instead - they have to get to competitions somehow, no?)
Mmh, the sweet, sweet smell of angst. :D

My other angsty idea has to do with Inui's Juice. (Ever wonder why Kaidoh is so muscular? What's in that juice exactly? Things that make you go hmmmmmmm. XD)

Date: 2004-04-12 09:33 pm (UTC)I downloaded the airport one, but haven't watched it yet. All my friends raved about it though, saying how addictive it is, so I think I'll start after exams!
Had to do that Cambridge Latin course in Year 7&8... all I remember is Caecelius and his family, his dog and his slave... XD (and I'm not even sure how to spell his name!!!)

Date: 2004-04-12 09:37 pm (UTC)Haha, my cousins have it all recorded on tape - cos they go to boarding school here, but get their parents to record every episode for them. >_> I duno... the only one I ever got addicted to was one about food... and all I remember was that it was to do with the word 'fresh' and that it was made up of fish and lamb - hence the best dish would be fish mixed with lamb, lol. <-- only remembers useless info
Hahaha, I remember Caecilius! Actually, all that I remember is that Metalla his wife sits in the hall or stands in the garden a lot. Hehehehe. We get more intersting characters in the later books - but Quintus is still around... but he's boring, lol. XD

Date: 2004-04-12 09:44 pm (UTC)I know which one you're talking about. I have it on tape too, and also have several other old soaps on tape... we kinda play them as background noise XD there are one or two that are really good, but lately I haven't watched any HK soaps either ^^ And I seem to prefer the ones with lots of plotting and violence <---- gone mad
Caecilius got killed when the volcano erupted, right? He tried to go back to save his family or something! Oh I just remembered his dog is called Cerberus... but can't remember the name of the slave still! <--- trying to recall useless info XD

Date: 2004-04-12 11:43 pm (UTC)Haha, we have load on tape too - my parents like to watch them, but I don't usually... I'm more busy on the pc, lol. Hahahaha, violence makes it more interesting sometimes, ne? *starts to remember all the police dramas that popped up a few years ago*
Ah, he did get killed, poor guy. But he set the slave guy free before he died, noble man. Haha. Hmm, the slave...Clemens wasn't it? Can;t quite remember, lol! Hahaha, I loved those fictional characters that they created, they amuse me so much! XD Wait... technically Caecilius did exist... o_O *head starts to hurt, lol*

Date: 2004-04-12 09:28 pm (UTC)Ah, HK soap operas amuse me - I stopped following them a while ago... though my cousins keep telling me about this airport one where the main female lead goes mad cos her husband dies or something... >_>
Hahaha (at least you can still remember 2 words - if it were me, my mind would be blank!), I just learnt the whole vocab list, so I know lots of words >D Now to actually work out the grammar... ^^;
