I need some help with this. Any idea of what disease I can use... something that will almost surely kill the person within 5-10 years, but doesn't bother the person much until a year or two before death or something? And not AIDS. Anyone any idea?

[edit: er, at least he can't be sick all the time and stuff... it's fine if it cripples him at the later stages...]

i actually suddently thought of a very good one..but i forgot the disease name, it is the one which Naohito has in 高校教師2003,
some tumour in his brain, which doesn't really affect him till in the last year.....when the tumour grows and affect his nerves so he started limping and shaking and can't do his teacher job anymore
but it was at such a sensitive part of his brain that he couldn't remove it in operation~
