Video help!

Call for help from my sister: Why can't she view her video files? She has installed the same codec packs as me, but she just can't see videos in Windows Media Player, Real One *or* DivX Player. Sometimes she gets the sounds, but no picture.

Please help!

for most video files on the net...

first, uninstall all the codecs on the comp
then go to www.doom9.org
install ffdshow, divx3.11a and the other divx

and also the AC3 codec

with WMP9 this should get you through 99% of the avi files on the modern internet.

I still haven't got a friendster account... not sure why I should get one except well, more usernames and passwords to memorise...
