MS Outlook

pezSince a few weeks ago, my MS Outlook is not showing the "new mail" icon in the systray even when there's new mail. I went to the options and made sure I've checked that option, but the icon still isn't coming up -_-
Went to the net to search for solutions, but apparently the problem's usually the other way around - the icon appears even when there's no new mail. No one seems to have my particular problem.
Am I just being really stupid and have done some settings wrong? O_O I don't even remember changing any of my Outlook settings. -_-"
