When I first got the dress rules for my American school, I almost decided that this was not the school for me. But then, I saw what the students would dress like on no-dresscode-days, including *all* boys running around in boxer-like shorts and flimsy t-shirts, and suddenly got the no t-shirts/shorts policy. Maybe the school mentioned in the article should have made the concession of allowing certain kinds of shorts, instead of becoming what I am sure is the laughing stock of the state. XD

This leads to people being over the top/outragious with what they wear, just to get the most of the day XDDDD;;;;
