A coworker said that his friend wtinessed a bus being blown apart.

Sis called, at lunch time I'm going to buy things like toothbrush and stuff in case I'm staying here tonight. I've got my laptop with me (^^") but haven't got the charger, damn. Might be able to borrow one from the office. The only problem is that I haven't got my medication with me, but hey I'll live. (must learn to take some with me wherever I go)

Sis said that where she is (in the City), they are hearing sirens ALL THE TIME and is very unsettling. Her boss has given them permission to go home if they want, but they're torn between going out in the traffic now, or staying behind. Because to be honest, they wouldn't bomb the place they've bombed again, so transport should be safe - but very congested and confused. And they may hit the buildings next. So my sister and her coworkers don't really know what to do. For now she's staying there.

Just got another reply from a friend - an out of office reply, actually. Looks like she's gone abroad. *phew*

[edit] Friend in Croydon says there was a bomb alert there. Apparently they found a bomb but it didn't go off. Still has to verify this bit of news.

Unlikely but I wouldn't automatically assume that. And the best way to get across London right now is probably walking. Might be worth asking your employers if they can help out for one night.

*nods* trying to see what the options are now. Hate to stay out like this totally unprepared, but it's better to stay alive... -_-

And not get stranded outside or on the wrong side of London.

usually after the first bomb goes off theres always alert for a second one that is meant to harm the ppl coming to aid the victims of the first bomb, so its really not safe to go out at all until the police say its ok... tho seeing it was a coordinated attack with several bombs in several locations, i think the bastards said what they wanted for the day -___-;

i don't think you'd need to spend the night at work tho, unless your security forces work really slow...

man these things piss me off X(

It depends on how soon they re-open rail links to London, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get home even if I want to :((((

Same here!!! >(

Can you call your doctor?

In the context, he might be able to call a close-by drugstore so you could go pick up your meds (for a one or 2 days dosage) there...

And you should avoid the transport system if you can... terrorists enjoy having bombs blast anew a bit later to kill/hurt the rescuers and make more victims... The terrorist attack in Spain was geared like that but thankfully the second group of bombs did not explode.

*hugs you lots*

I think I'm selfish to be so relieved that the people I know are safe. I don't understand things like this, nor the motivations behind them.

To be honest it depends on what the intention behind the bombings is, what message they are trying to get accross as to how any future ones could be laid...

And people wonder why I don't want to have kids... the world's one fucked up place...

I really despise humans who kills innocent humans to uphold whatever rights they believe... *sigh*

Am glad you and your sister are fine and safe.

Hmm.. just wondering, in case of emergency like this who is taking care of your two cats at home?

Well I hope my sister will be able to get home, if she has to walk back it'll take her up to 2 hours but she can do that. ^^"
