pezHands up anyone who really wants David/Emma.
*puts hand up*
(Emma/David would of course also be good, but I mean David/Emma, and not just because he's her boss. I can see him on top in this. Emma might try to dodge him for a long time to start with, though. >D)

Date: 2009-09-11 02:11 pm (UTC)Correction: David TRIES to bury himself in work and shut Reality out. Unfortunately for him, Rush teams up with Reality and votes David
off the islandout of his office! 8DHow many dates would it take Emma to decide soddit, this guy isn't worth it, and get back just being a general, you think?

Date: 2009-09-11 02:22 pm (UTC)Two dates, I reckon. Pagus, who doesn't know the whole thing, advises her to give the guy a second chance after the first date, just to see how it goes. There's probably nothing wrong with the guy, too, Emma just doesn't feel interested in him.
And then, Pez whips out her magic keyboard and kills Dave, so that they don't end up together? And Emma Regrets?

Date: 2009-09-11 02:44 pm (UTC)Someone's got to kick Dave in the teeth about Running Away(tm). He won't like that. Not one bit. There might be loss of temper.

Date: 2009-09-11 02:49 pm (UTC)I think what'd convince him that it might work would be when Emma stops calling him LORD David in private. But Emma needs to realise this. >>

Date: 2009-09-11 02:55 pm (UTC)But yes, that there might be a very good Sign. But is it possible to distress Emma enough to let go of the "Lord"? And would it take severe distress? Or anger? Or sympathy? Hmm.

Date: 2009-09-11 03:45 pm (UTC)Not sure. Maybe if she does have feelings for him then she'd think of him in her head without the Lordness, but whether she says that out loud or not, that's a completely different issue. The Honeywells has served Athlum for generations, it's pretty much ingrained into her, so it won't be easy. Perhaps he actually has to ask her to do this, and if she's willing to drop the Lord, then he'd be happy. XD

Date: 2009-09-11 04:07 pm (UTC)Bertie WoosterDave: Emma, I'm sure that nothing is further from your mind, but you know you have a way of saying "Yes, my Lord" which gives the impression that it's only a feudal sense of what is fitting which prevents you from substituting the words "Says you."JeevesEmma: I'm distressed to hear it, my Lord.Dave: Well, so you should be, Emma. Correct it.
Emma: Very good, my Lord.
