Wet socks. Ewwww.

Sheep sent me recipes for making chocolate truffles and one "choco crispy cake". The former only need rather basic ingredients so I might try make some. If you happen to see me some time this week, don't be surprised to receive random chocolate from me. :D

Erm, this is very random, but I'm curious. Could you guys please tell me what sorts of things you don't eat, for whatever reasons (dieting, allergy, religion, ew it's disgusting)? (lpatobe, I think tez_plush is curious about your culinary preferences, too.)

At some point this week I might need to pop to China Town to buy things to make "turnip cake" with, depending on whether I can actually be bothered. Could just go on Saturday and buy a ready-made one I guess, but those never taste as good.

I don't eat food with tentacles and/or suckers on it. >_>; Spawn of the Great Cthulhu was never meant for human consumption! Salt, boiled cod is another ewwwwww for me, I was overdosed on the stuff growing up. A lot of fish is ew in general because of the bones. I see fish bones and I am instantly Not Interested. Lutefisk (dried fish soaked in lye - I KID YOU NOT!!!) is another Norwegian specialty I'm not touching. Runny eggs = ew; they must be hard boiled or fried over-hard style. Bitter stuff in general.

XD! It's interesting to see how different people don't eat different stuff whereas I eat most of the things being listed here!

Just looked up lutefisk in wikipedia. It seems.... special. I'd give it a go though, if I ever come across it......

:O! It's just the egg yoke, right? How about things made with raw egg whites... tiramisu, for example? *would never miss out on any tiramisuing chance!*

Lutefisk can be anything from shivery jelly goop to rather more fish-like. XD There's a whole ritual to eating it.

I had no idea raw whites went into tiramisu! I love the stuff! So yes, it's just the yoke (though I wouldn't eat runny white, either). On bad days, I can get nauseated just from looking at someone eating a sunny-side-up egg or a soft boiled egg. ;;

Actually, quite often raw egg yokes are used too, depending on the recipe/the place you get the tiramisu from! XD I think the more traditional recipes use raw yokes, but recently more people start to cook the yokes as part of the process because of health worries etc.
