Fear my random picture of the Bridge of Ghei Bridge of Weiss Kreuz Rainbow Bridge, taken from a Yurikamome train. Took some pics with my camera for work and found this in the memory stick. Ah, I miss Japan.

Still enquiring about my move.

Last night, Gakuto talked to me. In fact, it wasn't talking - he had verbal diarrhoea. Oh well, what can one do when that happens but listen. It's not often that I have conversations with Gakuto, yanno. So I sat and let him talk from after dinner until well past midnight and I said "I can't do this anymore, I need to sleep, sorry."

It's about time to meet up with Y2 again, I think. Last time I randomly called him up and he said he had a date =/ so this time he has no excuse. (although, realistically speaking, I should stop eating out and save up money for TB cosplay...)

[edit] I have 17 parcels to send at the post office today. The people queueing is going to love me XD; fil_n, I'll send yours tomorrow and then tell you the postage. Got a couple more things to send tomorrow...

Best of luck re: the move, anyway. I'm totally with you on it - after my MA, it's something I want to do myself (the JET programme), and it's both a daunting and an exciting prospect. :)

No idea, but wikipedia Japan says there are other bridges also called Rainbow Bridge, one somewhere else in Japan and the other near the Niagara Falls in USA O_O

Thanks! I thought about JET too, but /apparently/ they don't take those who aren't ethnically English, and it's harder to get a place in the city of your choice, so NOVA seems to suit me a lot better!

It isn't. The footpath from the Odaiba end goes about halfway along, then there are a couple of lifts and a corridor which leads under the road to a path taking you back from you whence came, just on the other side of the bridge. I'm convinced there'd be no point in this if there wasn't a way across but the place was unmanned and I couldn't figure it out. The two guys cleaning the 'return' footbath seemed very surprised to see me!

Didn't manage to get anyone else to buy things, so...

If you order by economy and get the 2 books shipped to you in 2-5 weeks, it'll cost you 2050 yen shipping.

If you order with me and the things get sent to me by express, it'll take a few days to get to me and then I'll royal mail it to you, and it'll cost 2300 yen + probably £2 royal mail.
