ZIP them... burned them to CD (if under the 700 MB)... then check the CD (aka try to open them from the CD)... it should unzip (to your hard disk)... if things work fine? then you should be okay.
I'm always rechecking zip packages after a burn because at work, a few years back, I was doing lots of powerpoint presentations for my boss and they were BIG so one day I zipped them all in a neat package but did not burn them to CD (no CD-burner) and somehow the file got corrupted... some of the content (not all) but some I was not able to reopen... obviously something had happened on the network and corrupted the master file... having them zipped on CD might prevent that...
But I must say that apart from POT (since I haven't even seen it and unsure whether I'll like it -- not a sports fan) where I zip the episodes that don't want to go on a CD... but otherwise?
All my other manga/anime I'd rather burn 2 CDs than risk a corrupt file ^_~
Thanks for the advice! I just got home... will zip, burn and check before I delete them from my harddrive ^^ Have a deep fear of losing files ever since one of my harddrives died 2 years ago, when I was in the middle of meeting a deadline for a competition. *sigh* I think I'll get a DVD burner when I get back home... too much anime and manga to burn! XD
I was rather x_x about PoT in the beginning as well, because I'm not into sports and the name of the series just put me off. After the first few episodes... let's just say it's "addictibility" is even worse than WK.
The general PoT fans are much nicer than the WK ones too ^^ I mean, they actually *share* everything.
Don't start PoT unless you're absolutely sure... once it bites you it doesn't let go...
