Reunion, and security
Mar. 5th, 2006 12:41 amEverybody still looks the same, yet also so different. And many of them seem to have grown a foot taller (not counting the heels!) in the past 6 years; I wonder how they managed that. Also, everybody was pretty in their own way. Apart from Jo, but she's always been very wtf in my mind and now she looks like the worst sort of Essex girl one can ever find. >_>"
It's funny how some people I had hardly spoken to in those 7 years of school suddenly seem quite interesting and I'd like to know them better. Clare A. and I exchanged phone numbers, we should meet up again soon. She reminds me of
kamikazefish, actually, they have the similar sort of looks XD
Catriona is still cynical and fun to talk to, the Swot is still a swot, Hannah S. is a nasty bit of person underneath, so it's all still the same there. Maz was a lot of fun to chat with, Polly looked amazing, as did Nina and Fleur and everyone, I almost couldn't recognise Caz, and Omo, oh my god, Omo was there! And she was sweet as ever. She left in year 8 so it's been over 10 years since we last met. I recognised her right away though, it's quite amusing.
And then there were the news and gossips. Saw pic of Caz's baby daughter. Heard that Fiona J. is seeing someone 30 years her senior XD; there are people finishing medical school, people working, people who just came back from travelling, people who went backpacking...
The strangest bit is, although we all came from different parts of the country, and went to a school in Surrey, many of us are living in central London right now, some of them within walking distance from each other o.o
YS was there to pick Cathy up so I got a ride to the tube station. The walk from station back home was very quiet and scary - the scary part because recently the security around the area has gone down. There are 2 "assault - information wanted" posters from the police, and one of the residents in the block pinned up a note saying someone dodgey knocked on her door claiming to be a police officer. She didn't let him in, called the local police station and they said it's highly likely it was an imposter. Then some other residents wrote on that note saying they had similar experiences. It's not like I ever open my door to anyone who I'm not sure about, but it's just worrying. Will do my best not to go home too late at night.
Anyway, that was that. The reunion was good, I'm glad I went. Looking forward to seeing a couple of them again, this time without waiting for another 6 years!
Boss sent me a text message today asking if I'm feeling better. Isn't he just so sweet?
