Stupid tooth

Ouch.

So, it's like this. A long long time ago, I had a tooth problem, and it got filled by a dentist when I was in Newcastle. Some 2 years later, that tooth started hurting. When the uni dentist (who was very good) took a look at it, it turned out the old dentist didn't fill the thing properly, nor did he clean it properly, so throughout the two years it was just rotting inside, and no amount of brushing could help.

So, the new dentist drilled away the old filling, cleaned up the mess and refilled it. She told me because of the last two years, the rotting has gone very deep. My tooth is now no more thicker than an eggshell. She didn't want to pull it out unless she absolutely have to though, that's why she'd try to refill it.

Two more years later. ie, today. My eggshell tooth cracked whilst I was eating Pocky. The filling is still in place, but one part of the actual tooth has split, and if I pull it, I think it'll come off, even though the top of it is still stuck to my gums. I can't use that side of my mouth now, when I chew with it, that cracked part tries to go further into my gum than it's supposed to. And that hurts, I tell ya.

If I have the time and money, and live where people just love to sue people *glances westwards* maybe I'll sue that Geordie dentist. Well in this case I don't have the time and money. So I'll just go to health centre sometime this week and ask them to pull out that tooth. I've had enough.

*gasps* I truly hope you will get it fixed soon. I had the same problem a few years ago. I had this filling in my tooth, but apparently the damn dentist didn't do the work properly, so like you, it was rotting underneath the filling. Then, the filling came off, and it was so bad, I think half of my tooth was gone...

But now I found this really good dentist, a real sweet guy btw, and he'd managed to fix it for me. Now, I have check ups every half a year to make sure my tooth is still okay.
