And so it turned out writing chapter 23 of [The City] didn't require rereading the material I found, since I remember much of the details.

But geez, after this story (and its possible side-stories), no more of this sort of fic for a while. I keep having this feeling some police will knock on my door asking me why I'm reading stuff on corpse destruction and such. I've also randomly looked up some info on firearms (not very much) and poisons (a lot). *sweatdrop*

Still contemplating taking the rest of this week off. I'm on a roll with the writing, and I'd also like to get some cleaning done, and game a bit, watch some anime etc... but, using 3 days of annual leave in the beginning of the year? ~_~

Urgh. This coffee is icky.

Yeah, I wonder sometimes if the 'it was research for a novel' would count as an explanation for some of my bookmarks. ^_^;

Wasn't there a case on the papers some time ago where this man got arrested for having child porn, and he said it was all for research? I wonder what happened with him... ^^""""

Peter Townshend from The Who. He was cautioned and put on the paedophile register.

He has an online novel on http://www.boywhoheardmusic.blogspot.com/. Not sure if this is the one he was doing the resarch for...

Anyone watching CSI regularly and attentatively probably knows more about corpses and killing methods than what you looked up. It is, after all, not the knowledge of how to kill that makes you into a killer, and it seems to be fairly hard to actually buy those poisons etc. If anyone did monitor your internet traffic, they would easily be able to see what that knowledge is going into, i.e. slashfic. I think you're safe from persecution!

CSI never taught me how to get rid of a corpse though (although, admittedly, I don't watch the show a lot) and it's not just the internet, I have books ^_~ one of which has been banned and put out of circulation after someone followed its methods and killed people in the US >_> Poisoning can be pretty easy, actually, there are a lot of household stuff you can use - there has been (or so it's said) a case where a woman let her husband eat sprouting potatoes for a long time and he eventually died of the poison. I was going to make Hiyoshi have a pile of potatoes in his home XDDDD oh and if you aren't at home but have a needle on you, just crush and soak some cigarettes in water for a little while, then inject the stuff into a person, that'll kill them too :D

.......>_> Erm, yeah. It's all very fascinating disturbing.

Considering all that stuff, the last thing you should be worried about is someone overhearing you on Skype when you talk about killing people...

It is fascinating though. XD

Tine was the first one to say it's fine to kill people in that conversation, not me! :P

And I'm still trying to get hold of the book that teaches you how to completely disappear from society...

Possibly. But weren't you the one who mentionned the fact that someone was maybe listening in on the conversation and it didn't sound too good? (or something)

Dun do that !! ;_;

>_> well, you know... >_>

I just think it'd be a fascinating read 8D

....oh, btw, isn't it supposed to be be "prosecution" not "persecution" here? (I know, it was too early in the morning)

I actually did mean persecute, which is a direct German translation and I guess wrong in this particular context. Hmm. In German, it's one word for both, and what I wanted to say is "any and all 'somebody-coming-after-you'", not just the police/crown prosecuter (maybe also a group for clean and non-violent literature in children's series fanfic?). Prosecute would be more to the point, though!

(I think) in English, "persecution" ususally refers to being persecuted due to your race/religion/gender etc~!

Doesn't persecute also refer to stuff like witch hunts? Witches were persecuted, not prosecuted, right? That's the sense that I meant to use. ^_^

Cake!!

Prosecute, it is. It's what really counts anyway, since no one without proper authority can stop you writing fic!

*grins* Research so far has included cadaver decay (gross icky pics), armoured vehicles and candle clips, and that's just for a piece of fluff based on my Sims 2 family!

Ficcing is very educational really.

Cadaver decay? Hmmmm...... perhaps you have a very interesting definition of "fluff"! XD

I suppose this may be true! Not sure what else I'd call it though.
