Does anyone know about fanart commissions? I'd like to find out the typical prices people are willing to pay. Are there fanartists websites from which I can find the information, etc?
I've commissioned over 100 pieces of fanart. The price varies depending on how complicated the picture is, what medium is used, and how experienced the artist is. I usually pay about $40US for a two-character commission. Sometimes, I get a hard copy for that, but most often, I just get an image for the web.
You should check out "anime commissions" at eBay. Most of the artists there have price scales up.
