I'd love to show you around New York, and go to the bar where Renji works at the end of a busy day. He makes excellent Rainbows, but I think he dislikes me for asking for the drink.
What exactly is a rainbow? I'm more one for champagne cocktails... But then, I was just in South Africa, so I'm biased towards anything to do with white grapes. So you've been to Renji's bar? What's it like? *wants to goooooo*
It is a shot, with many layers that resemble the colours of a rainbow. Not many bars do them now, I guess because it is a hassle to make. I don't think Renji likes it that I order it all the time.
It is nice. In some ways better than Lady's Kiss, because I do not get looked at so much. There's a better mix of patrons.
It takes much time and patience to make, because you need to pour in each layer very slowly so that it doesn't get mixed up with the lower layers. With all the other patrons all waiting for their drinks, I don't think any barman likes making Rainbows.
I'm not surprised. A lot of people think I'm a red/white wine person...
I'm as safe as I can be... It makes no difference where I am, I think. Every now and then. And... yes, I suppose.
Perhaps you don't understand the difference in nature of the relationship between Yukimura and I, and that between Renji and I. Under any circumstances, Yukimura's preference comes first, and this is not a sacrifice, it is an honour which says that I matter to him.
I do understand the devotion you show, but even to me, that sounded almost as if you were Yukimura's slave, which I am sure you are not. Please forgive the severity of my reaction. I'm sure you can see that to anybody not actually in your situation, it is hard to understand why it would be an honour for you to give up a friend just because your... caretaker, maybe? - just because Yukimura says so. In my experience, even freedom given up freely and willingly is freedom you miss in the long run. And the freedom of choosing your friends for and by yourself is something that is most important.
I am sorry Yukimura-sama, I didn't mean to offend you. Surely you understand my reaction and know it's nothing personal, but merely a product of my education/first hand experience in such matters?
It may seem at first glance that this is a master-slave relationship, but I assure you it is not. I love and adore Yukimura, and I trust his judgement. If he believes somebody is not good for me... it is not that I will let go without any question, of course. And I am not giving up my freedom... it is hard to explain, but in time, I hope you'll understand.
