Sure, I can see that this is a step towards equality and a more open and tolerant society, but... would this mean there will be a sudden rush to challenge homosexual marriage and other related issues? Rushing is never a good thing...

I don't think there can be any "rushing" involved if at last there's some movement towards equality; in any country.
I don't like them using the term "sodomy", though, could just have said "sex". "Sex" refers to any cavity of the body, in general.
"Sodomy" is fucking animals...
