[edit] rough summary: This woman was shopping at a wet market. She was wearing shorts, her knee got hurt when someone else's shopping bag scrapped it. At first it was swollen, she thought she hurt herself when working in the factory. Two days later the swelling spread throughout her whole leg, she got rushed into hospital. It turned out it was a rare kind of bacteria got into her leg, it also affects the organs. She's in critical condition now and may need to have her leg amputated o_o There have been 10 such cases in the past 7 years, 3 people died as a result.

If you mean this "myosite nécrosante"? Our prime minister in Quebec got it when he was in power here. He nearly died and was amputed a leg as a result. It's a very scary disease as it's your own body attacking your system as we have that bactery inside us...
