*snort* Oh, this is just a follow-up on Italian PM Berlusconi's recent brain farts... Italy and Finland were competing for some "food office" of the EU, which Italy got. And last week, when the office was being officially opened, Mr. Berlusconi said among other things that it couldn't possibly have been given to Finland because Italian food is so infinitely better than Finnish food, and that he'd used "playboy tactics" on our (female) President, Tarja Halonen, to have his way in the dispute.
To which our President commented that perhaps Berlusconi slightly overestimates his charming powers... (well done, Tarja!)
It's pitiful, really. And these are the international diplomats who should promote cooperation between nations, yadda yadda? Who then accuse others of "having no sense of humor" when not everyone is laughing themselves sick at their silly little jokes?
