Jan. 6th, 2005 10:08 pmWoke up a while ago, turned the TV on and watched the last bit of a special programme/documentary of the tsunami disastor, followed by a 5-minute donation appeal.
To be honest, when it all happened I was in Paris and didn't watch TV, read newspapers or online news. I didn't know what had happened until I came back to London. And since then I hadn't watched any news about it, because my sis always changed channels when the news come on (too horrible, she says).
And after the oh, 10 minute of TV watching just now, I agree with her. I can't bear the scenes shown on the screen.
There will be no news watching in my home for the next month. It isn't because I want to turn a blind eye on what's going on with the world. It is that watching it makes me cry.

not that i odn't stay silent for the better most of the day.
In the chinese forums I just can't bear to watch those people laughing at the disaster, it just gets me so angry I am actually speechless.
in HK there are huge donation campaigns going on, recently made a donation, hope it will go to those in need =_=
