Oct. 6th, 2004 08:00 pmCongratulate me. I didn't murder Dean today.
Freddy sent me a text message the other night. Turned out he has to repeat this year so he's in UK again, staying at the same place as he did last year. Told him to call when he wants to meet up. I got fed-up of calling him since years ago. Was actually rather surprised that he made contact.
I showered this morning before going to work, and just showered again. o_o
Sat through this 2-hour presentation that was boring and unuseful (the content was mostly stuff for project managers). Discovered that one of the guys upstairs is very anal.
Did I mention that I wanted to kill Dean?
Contraceptive pills may give people blood clots, yes we've all heard of that, but someone I know actually nearly died from it. There were no symptons whatsoever, she just suddenly had a clot in her arm which somehow affected her lungs and she nearly died. The doctors said she could've been dead within a few hours and really, many of these cases actually result in death. So she was very lucky. But she stayed in hospital for 2 months and now she's on medication and probably will need it for the rest of her life. And she's very afraid of things now. And she's only 25. People, please consult a doctor before taking any long-term medication!

What Yuki said!!!
Date: 2004-10-06 08:10 pm (UTC)So, er, yes. If there is history of blood clotting in your family, DO NOT take contraceptive medication even if your stupid doctor says you may if you don't smoke. And if you do take meds which have an influence on blood clotting, be careful to move much and drink a lot of water during long flights. You will regret it a lot if you don't.
