the colored border for user pics is set when you add the users. If you go to your friends link, you'll see that you can set the foreground and background colors for your friends. I'm not sure if you can set them to trasnparent.

Couldn't change it to transparent, but it's now black and works fine with the layout ^___^ Thanks!!!
