storme and I are married, as of last Monday!I haven't posted since because it's been such a hectic few days of things to do and people to see, followed by sleep to catch up with. You'll find that the wedding, followed by our mini-moon in Paris, are described in Storme's LJ already. I'm unlikely to be nearly as eloquent, really.
1) We have amazing friends and family - Liz
giving_ground, Val firescribble, Unni solaas, Marco eolo flew over to be my side of the bridal party, and I also got to meet Marco's other half Gaspare who was such a sweet person. They carried stuff, did our makeup, talked to guests when we were too busy, wrangled our dresses and coats, bashed things into submission, and were generally amazing. Storme's bridesmaids/groomsmen Emily emshort, Leckie and David also did a fabulous job.Marco was my ringbearer + makeup artist, Unni did my reading during the ceremony and Liz gave a speech during the reception, which almost ruined my eye makeup. My dad also did a lovely speech about welcoming Storme into the family.
Cara
thephoenixboy, Sarah elyndys, Ayla kedi_kedi and The Mythical Syl dystopiarcadia were also present! It was like, the best of the old Tenipuri fandom gathered in one place. XD Everyone were, obviously, sat at the "Rikkai" table during reception (except for Liz who was at the top table, "Athlum", with moi.)Friends and family came from far and wide.
digiguy_online DJ'ed for us in the evening - I still can't believe Tenimyu got played during my wedding. XD;;;;The day went on forever, yet it went by too quickly. We're now in a state of "what do you mean, there is no more wedding preparation to do?" which does (or does not) neatly bring me to point 2 of this post:
2) Fuck yeah we're married!
And now my biggest challenge is finding an icon for this post... maybe I'll just stick with the default. :D
