Looking for a new cosplay

Looking for a costume to make. Something with no/minimal armour (prefer more sewing, less gluing) and which would be suitable to wear in the summer. But something that's got a bit of work to it (ie Yoko, Revy etc = no). I don't mind lots of sewing! I love pretty sewing!

Having said "lots of sewing" and "minimal armour", I still keep wanting to be Vaan from FF12, but that little jacket of his isn't going to be enough to cover open chest binding. =/

Still thinking about Utena as well. Just not convinced at the moment... I've seen lots of Utena cosplays and even the ones that are well-made just don't look good. Maybe her outfit is just good on the screen.

Amongst all the boobielicious suggestions I kept getting on FB (WTF, guys. Just because I wore a stay last Sunday!), someone suggested Luke from Tales of the Abyss. Hmmmmm abs. I should work out more. Having a strong mid-section will really help my back, actually. I don't think I'll ever be able to get actual abs, of course. XD

Emperor's New Groove: Yzma (May Expo. Got a friend who's really good at makeup and prosthetics to help)
Professor Layton: Anton (whenever I feel like)

what about the D.grayman outfits, they're complicated without being armour and there is plenty of scope for differences
I'd recommend Lavi, he has short hair and a short jacket

Under "fan made concept art", do you know if the fighter and musketeer outfits are actually in the game? It says fan made but the wizard ones I've also found scans of from the artbook... and I really like those fighter and musketeer ones!

Yes, they are part of the inventory of costumes now.
I can take screen caps from the game if you want. I own the male musketeer one.

The musketeer costumes are know as Phi Rasto and Bler Rasto (female/male)
The fighter ones are Asupplegion and Agiolegion (female/male)

Vaan has a lot of outfits from other games. I personally prefer his FFTA2 outfit, and that would certainly hide binding for you.

Utena for me is ALL about the wig and the fit of the jackets. I think you have the body type and the facial structure for Utena, but what ticks me off when I see an Utena cosplay is the hair, it needs that structured look, otherwise it's going to look like a pink curtain.

Yeah Utena's hair is actually pretty difficult. =/ It doesn't look like it has layers so it's hard to style it nice...

The duel costume of the movie has a hairdo which significantly easier to pull off. The series hair requires something under the wig to give it the cartoony feel. Do you know a good hair dresser that could fix a wig because the hair is deceptively simple.
