Not a report
Oct. 25th, 2009 09:16 pmDave loves cats!
(But do cats love Dave?)
I never write reports! Because I suck at them! So this is just bits of what I can remember right now (and I'm really tired!)
Saturday was a grey day, with occasional drizzle. Expo was PACKED. I didn't go inside the hall.
Already posted the Soldier Blue pictures. I haven't got many other ones but
Apart from your usual Naruto, Bleach, Hetalia and Death Note cosplays, there were others such as a Death Note (ie a person dressed as a giant black notebook), Excalibur (11 ft tall Soul Eater character), Wolf!Link and Midna, lots of fursuits, and others. Huge variety. For a while there was a pirate vs ninja fight which amused me to no end:
I think ninja won because the pirate's weapon broke, but the (girl) pirate did get to shoot the ninja dead afterwards too.
Then there were people dancing and chasing each other, all the usual stuff.
Spent a while with
(This is one of the calmer ones. It was a WINDY day.)
Monkey's Ion was hwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I haven't got a good picture of her but here's a pic.
And I'm posting this one because I like it.
Oh yeah, a very pretty Tezuka-buchou recognised my Soldier Blue. :D/
And, mwahaha!
Soldier Blue got recognised a few times, each time with people saying that OMG TERRA E!!!!! I also got caught by a Terra E fan from Holland, who loves Blue (she's cosplayed him before) and hates Physis (her mate's going to do a fail!Physis because they hate her so much). She said in her country there are three Terra E cosplayers. I told her that's better than the UK. XD
Ah! Forgot to mention that Dante got so broke he was juggling to earn pizza money. He was pretty good at it, too! I took a drive-by photo of him, but didn't give him any money. :P
Sunday's weather was much much better. In fact, the sun was so bright that my temporary self-tan for the Dave cosplay was hardly noticeable. XD There were about 60% less people around at the Expo, making it much nicer overall.
I met up with
Didn't get a photo of me pointing the Gae Bolg at Iain but, yeah. Every time someone wanted me to pose with it apparently I ended up pointing it at him.
At the Expo Dave was recognised far more often than at Ayacon. I suppose there were more gamers at the Expo. And if I didn't catch people's attention, the Gae Bolg surely did!
It was a busy day. I killed a few fiends...
I contemplated taking over the world...
...by playing guitar? (BrĂ¼tal Legend???)
But without my personal Remnant, I was pretty upset. :(
And sadness made the Marquis do silly things.
(Though actually, I think this was more that the Gae Bolg didn't fire correctly and I was trying to see what the problem was, rather than a suicide attempt. Although the result could be the same. >>) (Oh yeah, it was another uber windy day, as you can probably see. I had to really hold on to the Gae Bolg to stop it from flying off into the river.)
In my sadness, I also posed for the new Hot Athlum Men calendar. I'm sure all the proceeds are going to charity. Think of the orphans!
(Oh hey, the fake tan showed up in this one!)
But then I did get my act together after that.
Posing like one of the scenes during the opening sequence... XD
Remember the cutscene when the group arrived at Elysion? Dave looking up longingly at the Sacred Lands?
*insert theme music*
And there was lots of TLR fangirling with Storme. (As usual. XDDDDD)
Overall, a good weekend was had!
Whee!
