[edit] General weekend update: it was good. And I just realised that I'm going to spend every weekend of this month in London because next one is my dad's birthday, the one after that is the circus, then the one after that is London Expo. Urgh, all that travelling.

Yeah, that was just an idle thought, really--I hadn't thought about it a lot before I said it. But I could totally see qsitis as being egg-layers, somehow, despite the bunnylike features. Yama, maybe not so much--they're so *big* it would be hard to imagine how that would work.

Perhaps yamas are also hatched from eggs, maybe ostrich egg sized? But they grow really fast. o.o

You know, we do see *one* young yama--the one Baulson gets Rush to help rescue. But he's still huge. I'm starting to think we may be onto something here. :D

Aw, tiny larval qsitis. That *would* be quite cute, really. And would explain why Melphina has so many qsitis--all that water!

Yeah--he must have been kind of a wimp, though, to have let them even take him as far into the caves as they did. He was twice their size, easily!

Oh, wow, big hatching groups of Qsiti. You'd think there'd be even more of them around if that were the case, though. Unless there's some disturbing predation going on that thins out the numbers somehow, or unless they only spawn (ugh, but I can't think of a less disturbing word) very rarely.

It'd be scary to see. Maybe they have low libidos and don't reproduce often, or it's just one at a time like regular people... otherwise I can imagine Pagus being told to never have children otherwise he'll go on paternity leave for /years/ because of the sheer amount of children to take care of. XD
