Saw a beautiful tortie cat on the way back. Can I bring it home?
Work today was looking at some proposals for a new road. So, would you like the partial solution that only helps existing rat-run a little and in the future when demand increases the pollution and annoyance to the locals will still increase, or would you like a new road over there across those nice fields? Please select from one of the followinig options: 1) Environmental Damage A, 2) Environmental Damage B.
Also, one can be 100% sure that the designers had never been on site when one sees that the proposed route goes directly under existing electricity pylons, and parts of the road is also apparently on embankment directly under pylon cables. OTZ (Yes, this sort of shit designing does happen, and more often than you may think.)
Since I got back early, I hopped to town to look at buttons. Wasted an hour and didn't manage to find anything for the waistcoat. The places near work didn't have anything good either. This is going to be a serious problem.

Date: 2009-10-01 01:03 pm (UTC)If he has to defer this offer until later due to responsibilities at the castle, well, maybe he and Rush can watch the sunset from his personal balcony at the castle. ;)

Date: 2009-10-01 01:12 pm (UTC)But he's kinda scared of Torgal and Emma now. >>
The balcony gives the most amazing view of Valeria Heart. It's awesome and Rush wants to come again. Um, because of the view, of course. But the view of Valeria Heart & Athlum, or the view of the Dave? He doesn't specify...

Date: 2009-10-01 01:16 pm (UTC)It's going to take Torgal and Emma a while to believe that Rush isn't just playing up to that belief so that Dave will trust him, I guess. They're only looking out for Dave's safety.
I think we know which Dave hopes it is. And I hope Dave invites Rush to spend more time with him, perhaps at a situation in which a tweed ballgown would be an acceptable outfit. :P

Date: 2009-10-01 01:48 pm (UTC)'They have sequestered themselves again, Lady Emma. I am concerned for Lord David's safety.'
*they peer in through the window*
'Oh.'
'I'd say he has things well in hand, Torgal.'
:P

Date: 2009-10-01 01:50 pm (UTC)Torgal: *ear flicks back when he hears noises*
Emma: What's wrong?
Torgal: ...I am now more concerned for Rush's safety.

Date: 2009-10-01 01:53 pm (UTC)Poor Rush. I hope he won't be too alarmed when Dave makes him try on a corset for the first time.

Date: 2009-10-01 02:05 pm (UTC)Poor Emma. One day David is clutching at her skirts, and it feels like barely any time later until he's found someone else to put in skirts and clutch at instead. :P

I just hope Dave doesn't start jumping Rush in the garden, or Emma's going to get really distressed.

Date: 2009-10-01 02:33 pm (UTC)Emma: *sob*
Hopefully not. Dave likes to have things to secure Rush to. The pillars at the garden are too large. The headboard of his bed, however... and oh those ornate window frames...

Date: 2009-10-01 02:37 pm (UTC)But a window frame? That's just *asking* for Torgal to get a view he wasn't expecting to get.

Date: 2009-10-01 02:42 pm (UTC)Torgal, you better make sure there are always new exciting attaching-to things around the castle!

Date: 2009-10-01 02:45 pm (UTC)And David gets extra reasons to smirk at Torgal's additions to the castle decor.

Date: 2009-10-01 03:17 pm (UTC)Lady Emma has the reputation of being tough and unfazed by anything. BUT THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT HAVE NO IDEA.

Date: 2009-10-01 03:19 pm (UTC)I think Dave is inventive enough to faze any of the generals, if he puts his mind to it. The trick is if he can faze Rush.
