Last night I watched up to ep.10 of Kuroshitsuji (the rest are downloading) and then put on random episodes of Kenshin. It's been /years/. I actually started watching from the beginning, saw about 4 episodes and then watched random ones from the Kyoto arc, starting at the point where Houji tried to convince Shishio about obtaining "complete victory". I forgot how much I liked him and Shishio. They really were not your typical sidekick and villain. I also forgot how messed up Aoshi was. XD; And how wonderful the soundtrack was.

Overall the style of the anime was really different. It stuck to being very shounen. In the beginning when Kenshin decided to stay etc, if it's done now they'd really drag those scenes out with still screens and lip movements and whatnot, and the general pacing would be different as well. Still, I kept thinking it would be amazing if they re-produced this anime now. Make it much prettier. Get rid of those horrible OP songs. And give it a great soundtrack from the beginning (rather than just for the Kyoto arc). Do the entire thing in the Kenshin OVA style, even. Oh, my heart would bleed with joy.

Actually I did put on the first episode of Sengoku Basara too but went ???????? at it and then put on Kenshin instead. ^^" Maybe it wasn't the first episode and I was just confused?

In other news, I changed my mind about one of the scenes in [In Plain Sight]. Gotta go back and edit edit edit. Luckily it's ch.5 & 6 and I've only posted up to ch.3. Struggling with how much Dave should change and how much about himself he should talk about even after he had the (gradual and actually almost not described) change of heart about things. To Torgal, all right, he could say a lot. But to Irina? Even though he knew she was already clued-in? Hmmm...

Sengoku Basara was an amusing anime. It has lots of over-the-top fighting without a whole lot of plot. I still enjoyed it, if only because Date was handsome and voiced by one of my favorite seiyuu. ^_^

Even without much plot, I probably wasn't paying attention enough for it to, well, catch my attention. XD (was doing something else at the same time) It seems pretty funny, but also seems a bit too loud...

Where are you downloading Kuroshitsuji from? I've struggled to find it for download.

Shinsen stopped subbing it just before half way through, but another group picked it up. I found the links on animesuki.com.

I remember having pretty much the exact same thoughts about Kenshin! Read the entire manga then happily followed the anime until the end of the Kyoto arc, but then it devolved into fillers and I never made it to ep 95 XD;;

(also remember my brother downloading the entire OST and us spending a whole afternoon listening to it all and ending up keeping maybe 4 songs out of the entire 5 or 6 discs XDDD)

Damn. Need to find a Saito icon NAO
