Was talking about what to do for Tenipuri Big Bang and dug up a few D1 fics I still haven't finished. Some of them have been sitting around for years, the poor things.

Choosing a phone for upgrade isn't easy. I did think about switching over to O2 and getting the iphone, but I don't want to spend that much money.

It's really annoying how Royal Mail seems to do things by postcodes rather than by physical distance. I need to get two parcels from them but the sorting office is Really Far Away. To get them to redeliver to my "local" post office means to one that's not the nearest to me just because it's got the right postcode for my area. Why are things so backwards here? No, don't answer that.

The next step of the cosplay is to make the thing outside the shirt, which, upon close inspection of screencaps, appear to be a brown leather vest with maybe a strip of metal around the waist. Before, I thought the whole piece was armour. The bit around the waist will be boring and ugly if I don't curve it in a little towards the tummy as well as around the body, though. I noticed this looking at other people's costumes. It's really ugly if it's straight. But even with craft foam + plastic card (ie automail method) I'm not sure how to do that double curve. On a big whole-torso thing, yeah maybe, but not on a strip that's only 6 to 8 inches wide. Please don't say I have to resort to Cain's way of papier mache (ie shoulder armour method). T_T

His actual chest armour is under his shirt, and shows as the little metal-coloured thing poking out under the collar. I think I'll just make that little bit and attach it to the shirt.

I keep meaning to post about interesting things, except I can't find anything interesting to talk about. Mmmm.

Well, how far away is the post office in your area? Aren't they usually spaced pretty evenly apart?

Nah, they're just dotted where there were people living. Unfortunately areas of living have changed a lot over time and lots of POs have closed anyway because of cost issues, so now they are at rather random locations.
