Have meeting in central London at 2pm. Don't wanna go. I know nothing about this project and I lack the ability to waffle. Hope it won't last for more than an hour. Debating whether I want to stay in London afterwards, maybe do some shopping, before I go home, but perhaps not. Shouldn't be spending money. [edit] Oh um, bedtimepuri. I've been invited to join the comm, which I have done. But looking at the rules, I'm not sure how to approach it, so I will be sitting out this round and seeing what other people do. Initially I thought it might be a "create your own fairy tale" sort of thing, which is much more up my alley. But it says "retell"**. I suck at that. Also, I don't know what constitutes a "fairy tale". It's something I'm always confused about. The word "folktale" has also been mentioned, so... what's really acceptable? How about fables and mythologies, and famous children's stories? Or something like "Black Sheep" or "The Little Prince"? I don't know. Guess I could ask the mod, but I'm not going to have time to write most of July anyway, so, yeah, much more logical to sit out. Would be interesting to see what other people produce though.

** Actually, it's a good thing that it's a retell, not a create-your-own, because I'd end up writing something like [Missing] again. >> And try to kill Niou three times in one fic this time. (Although, whether that is SUCK or WIN, that's up to you to decide. XD)

My impression for bedtimepuri was that fables and mythologies and the like are fine. I'm planning on a King Arthur one and no one's objecting, so it seems quite a broad definition. So many different cultural backgrounds that I think anything goes.

But it's low pressure so if you feel like writing, write, and if you don't, don't /shrug/. I'm doing very little else right now, so it seems logical for me to have a go.

Yeah, I've gotta fly home later this week and will be away until the end of the month, so I think it's better to just sit and watch anyway. Maybe reading what the others produce will give me a better grasp of the whole thing.
