Do you play lots of high end games on your PC, by any chance?

I wandered into Comet on Saturday and discovered desk tops small enough to put in a handbag (almost) with a perfectly decent spec. I'll probably never look at another monster machine again!

Yeah, it's going to be a machine for heavy-duty, high end games.

A lot of the desktops are really small these days. The one I'm using right now is many-years-old but has very good spec for a normal use machine, and I think if you get one with similar specs now, it'll be at least half the size...

(at one point I considered going for SLi with that graphics card. fsjkfhskalfa. The price above is without OS, though. That'll be another £70-80 on top. T_T)

Yeah, the OS and the new monitor I needed are what really kicked it into 'yipes, my wallet' pricing for me.

But! It should be arriving today, according to the tracking system. Muahahaha.

Luckily I won't need a new monitor! My current monitor is really good. And actually I might hook it up to my TV anyway, hook it up via HDMI output.

Awesome! Let me know how you get on. 8DDDD I'm really interested in knowing how the game will run on different systems!

My old monitor is pretty terrible, alas - and I think my SO will weep if I steal the TV away from him any longer. He's looking forward to using the xbox again. ;)

And I will do! I'm looking forward to seeing how the PC version compares generally.

(Which OS are you getting? I ended up with home premium, given the whole directx10 issue.)

Yeah, I'm getting the home premium as well. Read around a bit and some people say Directx9 don't work so well with the game.

Just bought all the parts for the new comp! So excited!
