我信我們有對質都總會有體諒 我信我們也總有著夢想

Thanks for the comments last night. ♥ I made it home fine, then konked out on the sofa for 1-2 hours, waking up when
giving_ground was cooking dinner. XD The nap made me really awake afterwards, but I did my best not to stay up too late past midnight. Today I feel much more awake and alert.
My pair of ipod earphones (belonging to a dead ipod nano) have buggered off to godknowswhere, so at work I've been using my big Sony headphones. But wearing them with one side pushed back to make sure I hear people and the phone ringing isn't too practical, so just now I went to Woolworths and bought their cheapest pair of earphones. The difference in sound quality is astounding. But ah well, doesn't really matter, it's just to keep me wake and amused.
Speaking of sound quality, I'm not the type to always rip music to the highest (320 or whatever it is now) quality. There is no point in creating big files if the end user doesn't have a good enough sound card or speakers. Also, if the CD itself is coded at 128, why rip it larger, that's like trying to see details that aren't there...? Put 128 and 320kbps files on an average, several-years-old computer with free speakers, and I honestly can't hear the difference. Or maybe my ears aren't as sharp as other people's. But my main point is that it seems like people often overlook the importance of sound card and speakers.
I'm wearing my "hakama" trousers today. Never really know what shoes to wear with them, so I'm in my "kung-fu"-ish shoes. XD Maybe I should get some ninja ones. Turns out I'm going out this afternoon so good thing that I didn't bother with heels and all that. Also good that I've got some travel sickness pills with me. >>
LJ has changed the userpic/icon URLs again**. I have to update my filters again to block out icons I really don't like seeing.
There's a Haken Lee song that I suddenly really want to listen to. Of course I don't have it here at work. I also miss the Mr Children CD I must've lost (lent to someone and never got back) oh, ten years ago? Can't remember, but it was their first CD. I should go download it.
**Yesterday's observation. But it seems like they've been changed back...
