Book!

Because of a sudden, random memory of once having ladyjaida on my flist once upon a time, I went to see if she's made more progress with her original writing, and voila, found that she's got a book out!

So, has anyone read Havemercy by Jaida Jones and Danielle Bennett, and can you tell me if I should spend £10.71 on it? (Bookdepository is cheaper than Amazon.) I only know that her fanfics are mightily awesome. The reviews on Amazon.com seem quite good, but the ones on AmazonUK not so much...

Ah, I finally took out House of Leaves from the library, but haven't read much of it yet since the book is too big and heavy to carry to work and Phoenix Wright is too shiny...

I read Havemercy! I definitely, surely enjoyed it - the characters are great fun, the plot's good and there's plenty of magnificent boylove! I, ah, did have a couple complaints, mainly re: sexism in the book, BUT they have some interesting interviews where they talk about that that you can read after if you have similar feelings. :)

The bookstore I went to said they couldn't find Havemercy..? So I haven't read it, but I've heard a lot of happy squeeing over it! I haven't heard anything bad, actually..

The negative things I've heard are mostly related to there not being any main female characters, and minor female chars only exist as ornaments, something like that. TBH it's not something I'd be very bothered about. XD
