Question for cel collecting friends

I want to frame and hang up some of my cels - is it true that frames with special coating on the glass is essential (because of colour deterioration due to sunlight) or is it just the preferred option for those who can afford it?

How much would a frame like that cost for a normal-sized cel? I wonder if I can find that sort of thing easily here... maybe buy online, but I suppose it's not very shipping-friendly, is it. =/

Advice and past experience please please please?

I wish I could remember how I got my cels framed. (It's been several years since I had them done.) I took them to a place that specializes in framing, because I didn't want to attempt it on my own. My frames were custom made.

My best friend framed her cels with frames she bought at IKEA. I'm sure she didn't replace the glass that came with the frames, and they look just as good as my own cels.

I see... I'm thinking about doing it the cheap way too, because a general search hasn't come up with any framing specialists, so probably there aren't that many shops like that here and they are Very Expensive. :(

I used frames I picked up in Habitat for a couple of mine, with no apparent ill effects. That said, they live in my spare room and nothing in there sees much sunlight!

when I move to Llandyudno I have vague plans to have all my cels professionally framed and displayed around the house. Ken, Crawford and, er, Omi, will be looking down at everyone.
