pezWow. Estate agent just brought prospective tenants over to see my current place. They're marketing this for 15% more than what I'm paying currently!
There were two pairs of people, one of which were SE Asians who were only interested in the Tezmobile. And yes, the Tezmobile tried to whore herself out again.
The Olympic Men's Four (rowing) was really exciting today.

giving_ground has gone home for the weekend, so I'm trying to make use of the gluten-full foodstuffs. Though I can't guarantee that I can finish the lasagna before Monday, so she'll just have to look at it and cry if that's the case. XD

Date: 2008-08-17 02:36 pm (UTC)stoleborrowed some Haruki Murakami books in Chinese from my brother-in-law, and started reading one called "Haruki Radio" (which is one of his books that haven't been translated into English yet, I think). There was a forward by the translator, talking about how in some, if not most, of Haruki's works, the characters simply didn't have names, or merely went by nicknames. That, and the actual book, somehow helped me a lot with my writing.The story was done in sections, and there was a lot of swapping the order of things as I progressed. >>" The part where Sanada noticed everyone reading the same book, that was actually the original beginning. XD
The plot itself was pretty simple... I just wanted write that Renji thought he had a crush on Yukimura, but what he actually felt was jealousy and he was wishing he WAS Yukimura, because Yuki was so perfect and was close to Sanada. :D And Sanada liked Renji all along and just wouldn't admit to it. And Yukimura goes "LOL the two of you are so in denial, but I'll play along for a bit." XDDDDDDD;
It was a weird thing to write and even weirder to post, because of the way the story began... Renji describing what "acceleration" is, that almost sounded like 2nd person pov. Then it was revealed that it was someone else talking, so it was really 1st person, but even at that point it didn't seem like PoT fanfic at all and I was convinced most people would just click away. XD Overall I was, and still am, very happy with the outcome. Renji's voice was particularly fun to write. \:D/
