I can go on LJ now! =D I downloaded the free version of ZoneAlarm, was going to turn off NIS (leaving only antivirus on) and run ZA... then thought oh well, I might as well try using both at the same time and it WORKS! I can read my flist! *w00t* So I'm not losing any protection yet still able to use LJ now.
[edit 2]
Ok so this is like really weird, and I'm sure it has got nothing with the reboot. I just turned off ZA and am running NIS only again... and I can still go on LJ! *freaks out*
And oh you know? Because both Arith and I were cranky tonight, we wrote cranky Fuji and cranky Tezuka. Afterwards we felt a LOT better. *pets Fuji and Tezzie* Otsukareta~~~

Date: 2004-06-10 03:53 am (UTC)Except it stops animation from time to time. I just close it and restart it. I'm used to it, so it's no big deal. It does not stop anything but animation... It freezes them from time to time...

Date: 2004-06-10 04:06 am (UTC)I just downloaded ZoneAlarm (free version) and am now running it alongside NIS. I was going to use ZA and turn off NIS but thought oh well, I'd give it a try and now I can go on LJ!
Oh and about animation, I had the same problem, usually it goes away after refreshing. I have no idea if it had anything to do with firewalls though...

Date: 2004-06-10 03:57 am (UTC)turn off everything, comp, hub, router, DSL/Cable box (in that order) then turn everything after 1 minute in reverse order from how you turned it off.
I was having problems a while ago seeing changes in my router until i just reset everything.
