Future fic. D1 angst. And it hurts so good.
Sought and Found (Niou/Yagyuu, Yukimura/Niou, Sanada/Yukimura/Yanagi, R) by
Rikkai AU with good, solid, confident writing. Great style. There totally needs to be more to it.
Moments of Grace (Sanada/Yukimura, Niou/Yukimura, NC17) by
IMO the best of Liz's fic I've read. Future fic about lives that are imperfect, because that is what life is like most of the time.
There are fics with pairings I don't like and therefore didn't read, so I can't rec any of those. Go to
As for me, I wrote Perfidia (Yagyuu/Niou, NC17), which is an AU story based very very loosely on the book/film Lust, Caution. I wrote this in.... 3? 4 weeks? It all just went boom boom boom, the writing was almost non-stop. There was going to be a little bit of SanaNiou in it, but that didn't happen. There was going to be another theme in it, of strength vs weakness (Sanada and Niou were going to have a rather messed-up conversation in which Sanada's encouragement becomes an unbearable pressure to Niou, that the words "be strong", said by someone who doesn't understand what weakness feels like, can crush someone who is already weak.), but somehow that didn't make it into the story. Ah, I'll find a way to write that into another story somehow.
Writing it wasn't difficult, it was really fun! But it's the time spent afterwards, fiddling and fiddling and fiddling with it endlessly... that was rather nightmare-ish. In the end I just told Liz to please take it, I couldn't bear to look at it anymore. And until the recipient replied and said she liked it (she was away for the weekend), I just kept going "I hate this fic I hate this fic I hate this fic". But I don't hate it, really. I re-read it now and think it's kind of cool. So, yeah.
By the way, did anyone notice that I started replying to comment even before the reveal? That was to bump up the comment count so that anyone else looking at the comm would think "Oh! That got loads of comment! It must be good, I'll read it now!" *evil snicker*
