Started reading "Speed Tribes", which is interesting but perhaps not extremely accurate (Greenfeld seems to have got his "oyabun" and "kuimichou" mixed up, for starters). It's entertaining nonetheless, and has reminded me of the infamous punch perm. Akaya probably would have got one if his hair wasn't already naturally curly. I can totally see him in am embroidered jacket and wearing a fake Rolex, though. Trying to imagine his first meeting with Sanada is giving funny mental images.

This morning I asked Liz this question: "did [Crescent] use the word 'fuck' more frequently than Gordon Ramsey does on 'The F Word'?" She did not have an answer. XD

(I thought about continuing with the plant theme for the fic title, but Crescent works, methinks. And I hate coming up with titles.)

btw, both Maybism and Hanagumi have new Birthday Sanada pics! Must remember to check again when it's Renji's day.

Your cat is trying to defenestrate herself again. Also in case you didn't get my text (I know we do not have a good track record with texts XD), I think we're out of clear spray. I can't find it and now that I think I have vague memories of running out right when I finished spraying the swords the first time. Can you get it near work or should I go on a Quest into central London? XD

I'll have a look and tell you at lunch time. Chances are they won't have it in stock here. Depends on how important you think the clear layer is, I suppose. Maybe you can spray the chrome on first and take a look?

Okay! I'll finish spraying it (half done), try sheathing it, and if it gets scratched to hell then I guess the clear will be needed. But unsprayed the sword went into and out of the sheath pretty well. Big improvement. We'll see.

Yah. I mean it's not like they can [deleted for security reasons]. It would only cause more headaches. ^__^

Is the chrome shiny? I have that chrome was a paint and remember it coming out shiny, but not sure about the spray.

Not sure. I've sprayed the whole thing and it's shiny in a totally different way to hitsugaya's sword... in terms of aesthetics might be better anyway. It's not dry enough to try sheathing and see if I need it for helping keep the paint in place, though.

Um... maybe spray Hitsugaya's sword as well? I suppose just over the current paint will be okay...

Dunno, I think much more paint on that one and you'll start getting problems with it coming off in the sheath. Better just leave it. Not the end of the world if they look a bit different. (The less shiny colour on hitsugaya's sword looks better anyway I think.)
