Sending a 2kg parcel from UK to USA by air costs £20. That's £10 per kg.

Assuming that your average air passenger weighs between 50-100kg and pays £500-1000 for a return flight to US depending on time of the year etc... that's also £10 per kg. And that is NOT counting to 30kg hold luggage and 7-8kg cabin luggage the air passenger can bring. And don't forget that's the RETURN price. Yes I know the postman actually needs to deliver stuff to the door. But. Sometimes one can even get return tickets to New York with British Airways for under £300.

THOSE GODDAMN PARCELS BETTER BE GETTING IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT AND HOT MEALS.

And that is why, I believe, YesAsia offers free shipping to UK. I am almost totally sure that they get real people to bring goods on with them to the plane, take them to an address in Croydon, and then ship stuff out locally.
