Oh my GOD. It's so hard to sit on my hands and not mock, but I will try. I just have too many things to do, can't afford the time to argue my point with people. So I'll just laugh at the STUPID with a few choice friends on their journals.

Lust, Caution didn't get any Oscar nomination. I think Tang Wei could've squeezed herself into the shortlist for Best Actress. =/ (I still think the film would've been a lot better if they cast somebody that wasn't 錢嘉樂 as that officer person. People probably still think "oh he was so amazing in 烈火戰車!" No, he wasn't. He just had a dramatic death scene. Which was probably why they got him as that character in Lust, Caution.)

Only wrote about 500 words last night although I have so many ideas in my head. There is this one scene I just really really want to get to but it's going to take a while. I'm trying to use it to encourage me to write the beginning parts first.

So, who thinks if I wrote to BBC News asking them to stop using terms such as "the very first time" and "very unique", that they'd listen?

Good lord, that's crazy. It did get nominated for a Golden Globe and two BAFTAs so I looked into it and according to IMDB, ‘Lust, Caution’ was submitted as Taiwan's entry to the Best Foreign Language Film Category of the 80th Annual Academy Awards (2008), but it was rejected on 17 October 2007 by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences because many of the film's personnel were not Taiwanese. Taiwan substituted ‘Lust, Caution’ with Huai-en Chen's Lian xi qu (2006).

That just strikes me as extremely pointless red-tape, as you said. God, how irritating!
