The First Plague
All of the water in Egypt, right from water already in buckets and jars, to ponds, canals, streams, even the Nile River, turned to blood. Then all of the fish of the river died, causing a terrible stench.
England under water, causing death and destruction.

The Second Plague
Frogs miraculously multiplied in number, so many that the land was infested with the normally aquatic creatures. Even people's houses had them inside.
Increasing infestations of field mice and moths in Scottish households.

The Third Plague
Vast swarms of gnats tormented people and animals.
Bluetongue, spread by insects.

The Fourth Plague
Vast swarms of flies through the land, spreading disease.
Bird flu, allegedly caused by wild birds. Many families may not have turkey this Christmas.

The Fifth Plague
Disease on the livestock - horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep and goats.
Food & mouth.

The Sixth Plague
Festering boils on people and animals through the land.
UK HIV cases among top in Europe.

The Seventh Plague
Powerful hail storms that destroyed the standing crops. The hail stones were so big that any people or animals caught outside in the storm were killed.
Freak storm batters south London.

The Eighth Plague
Locusts in such great numbers that the ground was covered with them. They devoured everything that survived the hail storm.
Disease threat to root crop yield.

The Ninth Plague
Darkness over the entire land for three days.
England fails to qualify for Euro 2008. The entire country is plunged into darkness and misery.

The Tenth Plague
Death of the firstborns.

There won't be a demand for goosefat this year (the jersey potatoes are all spoiled , and we have no turkeys to eat anyway), but there may be a shortage of lamb's blood, I say. Quick, buy some now and sell it on eBay!
