Maggie Cheung wins Best Actress at the Cannes International Film Festival for the French film "Clean" =D

I'm looking forward to "2046" a lot. Even though it didn't win any awards (despite being the tipped Palme d'Or winner), just the cast alone is enough to make me drool. Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Faye Wong, Kimura Takuya... w00t!

"Breaking News" got to be shown out of competition... but I don't think I'd like it, since people raved about PTY too, by the same director, and I would have fallen asleep watching it, if I wasn't either laughing or swearing through the entire film.

"House of Flying Daggers", also shown out of competition... okay, not my thing again. Films like this and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" are made for awards, not for entertainment. Westerners may like it coz it's something different, but these films bore the hell outta me.

YES. Maggie Cheung is awesome, the most beautiful Chinese actress ever. I think so anyway. and she speaks French enough to act in a French film :O

Well her ex-husband was a French director (who directed "Clean"!), so her knowing French was a natural thing XD She's very pretty! I once saw her on the Underground O_O" on the Circle Line at night, she was travelling with a western guy friend, and got off at Notting Hill Gate. She was so pretty, exactly the same as on screen!
