icon keywords

I've been fiddling around with this for a long time now. How can I get icon keywords to display when my cursor hover over an icon? Some friends have that working on their LJ, but I can't find out how to set it. Is it layout-specific? It even works in semagic, but just not on my layout?

I'm not 100% certain, but I think it only works in S1 journals.

This S1 S2 thing is still WTF to me. There are things only S2 can do and then there are things only S1 can do. What a mess!

Yup, I think that's how it is, I just went on Drae's LJ to check. That's also why I view all LJ links in style=mine, I like seeing icon keywords (and easy black on white pages :)). The only thing that I miss which is possible in S2 is seeing tags on my flist. *suck*

I think I need an icon that says "LJ fails" rather than "I fail at life". The ability to see tags is the reason why I switched to S2 (which is a lot harder to customise, don't believe LJ when they say S2's easier). But I want to see icon keywords too!

Don't I know - I spent one futile evening trying to get an S2 style to look like my S1 style, and gave up before I completely broke all technology in the world (that's what it felt like). I really don't know why they have to make customisation so damn difficult. At least I know how to more or less deal with S1 now, at least enough for me to work with it. Silly LJ.

They should just have the pre-set layouts in an array of colours to choose from, for those who don't care, and one customisation code for you to change bits or write your own, instead of having 2 sets of codes. And whichever way you choose to use in the end, your layout should have everything (tags, keywords etc) unless you've specifically chose to disable them. What's the point of introducing something that'd only work half the time?

I really don't know. I'm sure they only split it like that because it would take way too much money to make it all into one big system, but still, it seems idiotic. On the other hand, I don't think it'd be too much to ask to build a tool which can just put in colours and the like more easily. *sigh*

For me, that only shows the menu that says whether someone is your friend, and their default icon, etc. But not the actual icon keywords. XD;;;
