As a "racial minority" myself, I can't decide if what's happening on Celeb BB is actually "racism" or not. >_> When you dislike someone, everything they say, do, and are, becomes wrong. If Shilpa'd been Scottish they'd make fun of her Scottish accent and say she deep fries all her food and refer to her as "the Scot". A lot of people say things like that, but do the Scottish call us on it? People mimic the way George Bush speaks and make fun of him, is that discrimination enough to be called upon? Hmmmm. Food for thought.

I haven't been able to order the posters in time, sorry. But I'll print A3 of the stuff anyway, because I can!

It is. Although, this sort of debate is kind of good in a way, because a lot of people don't realise this type of thing happens to a lot of people everyday, but now they see it on telly and can't pretend not to know anymore.

See comment above. I still maintain this seems a lot more vicious than they should be allowing. Will be interesting to see how long C4 holds out considering the pressure the govt is starting to feel.

Mind you what you say is true about not liking someone 'cos my opinions are probably coloured by the fact I can't stand that horrible waste of space Jade Goody or anyone who gets labelled 'WAG'!

It does happen every day - it's commonplace behaviour in schools, the workplace etc and not just linked to race although that's the super sensitive subject these days. Reality tv just got a little bit too real.
