Niou knows a few magic tricks, and one involves being able to pull things out of a top hat.

"I can pull anything out of my hat," he says.

"Anything?" Yagyuu asks.

"Anything," Niou nods. "Want me to prove it? I can pull-"

"NO." Yagyuu takes a large step backwards. He thinks of the ice-cream van, "it's okay. I believe you."

Niou's hand, inside the hat, lets go. At that moment, the hat stops playing its annoyingly cheesy ice-craem van music.

"Aw, what a shame."

Yamato. Yukimura. Cinnamon cheesecake.

Cooking wasn't something Yamato liked doing. He could do it fairly well - better than most people his age, in fact, but that was because he had a father who worked full time, a brother who worked more than full time and a mother who couldn't care less. As a result, he often wasn't entirely sure if he was proud to know his way around the kitchen, or not, and he avoided it whenever he could.

Yukimura, on the other hand, was well known for his love of feeding others. Leave him with a well-stocked kitchen and he would be very, very happy. A lot of the time, Yamato liked to just sit there and watch Yukimura work. It was an arrangement that suited them both.

But everyone gets weird days, and bad days, and days when one just wants to shut "fuck it all" and disappear under the covers of his bed. On one of such days, Yamato wandered into the kitchen, rolled up his sleeves and got to work.

Later on in the day, Yukimura woke up and found a cinnamon cheesecake on the nightstand, and Yamato asleep at the desk, over some textbook he had been reading.

Sometimes bad days could be very good days.
