Oh, linking off-comm is fine! I just don't want people to make their link look like an LJ-cut, sort of like this:

( fake cut to my LJ/ff.net account bwahahaha )

Which is confusing as hell. But bold your links if you like, just don't bracket it to make it look like an LJ-cut, that's all!
