A while back, a Russian WK fangirl asked me for permission to translate [Blinded] into Russian, since apparently not many fangirls know enough English to read the fic. I was stunned, and immensely flattered that someone would offer to translate my stuff, *unfinished*, and already over 60000 words long. And I went to her archive and all the fics she translated are like, the best ones I've seen in the fandom. So I was like, SQUEEEE!
Today I got another email from her, with some translated comments from the Russian fangirls who have read the translated version. They like the fic!!!! In fact the comments are more like a conversation because they come from a forum. It's utterly amazing to read about other people discussing your writing. You can see how their reaction changes as the story progresses, and what they think of the developling plot...
And there was a girl who couldn't read past the first few parts because she felt Crawford was OOC, but then the other girls urged her to go on, so eventually (and reluctantly) she did... and the fic turned her around! XDDDD In the end she said, "I read 12 parts. I'm admitting in public. I am an idiot. Never judge about something by only two parts."
And yet more people crying when reading about Nagi's intereaction (or lack thereof) with Schuldich. (damn, *I* almost cried writing that, even though that little bit is just about a long known fact, no surprises or anything)
Anyway. It just feels... amazing to know the story is being enjoyed after translated to another language... and OMFG WOW to read them actually discussing it. Of course it feels great enough to have people telling you what they think... but actually discussing it... *faints* /////
