To UK people - ordering books
Jun. 1st, 2006 09:59 amI'm wondering how many of us want to get the July issue of hm3 Men's Extra (coming out 1st July) and the Kazuki Artist Book (coming out mid-July). Maybe we can get them together?
I'm trying to look for ways to get them... options are:
1. Get them on AmazonJP
2. Get my sister in HK to order them
3. Order them through a shop such as Japan Centre in London
4. Order them through a site such as books.com.tw
Option 1 is icky because of horrible HORRIBLE Parcel Force and import taxes :/ I'd ask my sister as a last resort in case the books end up heavy (she'll moan at me) and sending them to UK will end up expensive... Books.com.tw will almost definitely stock both books, but they don't do preordering - the site says I can email them and ask though, so that's an option. I think the best bet is to order through a shop though, that means definitely no waiting for the postman and their mark-up might still end up cheaper than having to pay for shipping.
I'm going to post this and poke other UK fans I know to look at this post! It's only beginning of June now so there is plenty of time, but if you're interested or if you have a way of getting the books, please comment? *___*

Date: 2006-06-01 09:42 am (UTC)I'm not very sure about option.1 either because, well, I still haven't heard anything from them about the restock of Hero Vision, plus, they have never stocked hm3 Men's Extra before. About option.4, apparently quite a few online book shops do special magazine request. As whisper123 in tenipuri_myu pointed out, we could try fujisan.com, and btw I sent out a request for the recent Men's Extra issue (vol.2) to clubjapan.com yesterday so I'll see how that works out.
If none of them turn out to be helpful, we always have Japan Centre, although the final price is generally 2-3 times the original price @@
Really don't want to bug your sis because it's going to be a HUGE annoyance for her, considering how bulky and heavy the books are going to be XD
Oh and just remembered, I think the website says if you order Kazuki's book with the publisher before 30th June, you get some bonus like photosets? Don't know if we can still get that through agencies, doubt it.
Hmmm if I get any useful info, I'll post it here.
Good luck to us...
